Junior Achievement and American Honda Finance Team Up on Financial Education

by | 10/20/15 | Commentary, News

On the heels of results of a national survey showing that teens lack essential knowledge relating to auto finance, Junior Achievement USA and American Honda Finance Corporation developed and rolled out a new website designed to assist youth in understanding important financial concepts for owning and maintaining a vehicle. The new website can be found here: www.financialtestdrive.org

The website initiative provides students with the ability to test their understanding of auto-related costs and other critical topics for managing car ownership and maintenance. Some of the themes covered include budgeting, financing, auto insurance and financial matters pertaining to auto maintenance. The objective of Junior Achievement and American Honda Finance in rolling out this program is to assist young people in making enhanced decisions relating to auto purchases, financing and maintenance.

This initiative represents only the latest in a broader partnership between the two companies. AHFC also has supported the JA Personal Finance program, which is an interactive curriculum that prepares teens to effectively budget, save and use credit responsibly.
