3 Cities Receive 2014 Financial Literacy Innovation Grants – Did Yours?

The United States Conference of Mayors just announced that its DollarWise Campaign has selected the winners of the 2014 Innovation Grants.  The cities named are: Jacksonville, Florida; Dallas, Texas; and Gary, Indiana.  Each city will receive $15,000 in funding to help develop local financial education initiatives aimed at boosting the level of financial literacy and capability in those regions.

The awards were given in Washington, D.C. on January 24th as part of the 82nd Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.  During the meeting the DollarWise program also presented its annual Summer Youth Campaign grants to several cities, including:  Tacoma, Washington; Kansas City, Missouri; Chicago, Illinois; and Boston, Massachusetts.  Each of these cities will receive $4,000 to foster greater financial education initiatives within their respective summer youth employment programs.
