The financial literacy community was buzzing over recently published data showing that about one-third of adults in the U.S. do not save for retirement. The 2014 Consumer Financial Literacy Survey prepared by Harris Poll for the National Foundation for Credit Counseling also found that about fifteen percent of adults roll over $2,500 or more in credit card debt every month.

The survey also found that adults generally acknowledge their lack of financial literacy. Specifically, approximately three in four adults agree, and one in five adults strongly agree, that they would benefit from guidance, advice and help from a professional with respect to daily financial matters with which that they are contending.

As the results of this survey touch on a broad range of areas that are of great interest to our readership base, we wanted to provide a copy of this survey here.
