Financial Literacy: An Overview of Practice, Research, and Policy

Financial literacy deficiencies can not only affect day to day money management but long-term goals such as buying a home or seeking a higher education. Studies suggest that financial literacy education training can lead to better decision-making , however, studies differ about the best means of providing that training. Findings from recent research on personal money management styles, combined with awareness of human behavioral traits, offer insights that may be useful in developing successful training programs and strategies.
