Research into the Financial Knowledge of Employees of Local Government Units at Commune Level in Podkarpacie

The aim of this article is to present the results of a study on the level of financial knowledge among staff at local public administration offices. The study was conducted using the technique of Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews on a representative sample of commune level offices in the Podkarpackie Province. Study participants described a definite strength of financial knowledge within the work tasks that they do, however they indicated that their actual knowledge level is intermediate, and to a great degree their actions are based on general knowledge rather than specialist knowledge.
