SEDCO’s Riyali Mobile App Bolsters Financial Literacy

In its latest effort to bolster its Riyali financial literacy education program and to further strengthen the financial literacy skills of consumers in Saudi Arabia, SEDCO Holding Group has launched the Riyali mobile application.  The rollout of the mobile app is designed to leverage the sharp rise in mobile phone use, as well as the fast-growing use of social media applications.

To accomplish the broadest penetration, the Riyali application works on mobile devices with either the iOS or Android operating systems.  The app uses basic income information (such as salary) and expense data (such as clothes, food and other necessities) to assist users in monitoring their monthly savings.

The Riyali app also includes other information, tools and resources that enable users to make better informed financial decisions.  One example is a loan calculator.  The app also enables users to compete among their friends by earning stars – the first user to ear 100 stars in a month is named that month’s winner.

Riyali is SEDCO’s Financial Literacy Program that was launched 2012.  Riyali has since sought to educate members of the community with financial planning and management in order to meet their personal financial responsibilities.
