Approaching the November 1st start of Canada’s Financial Literacy Month, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) announced its second annual video contest.  This year’s video content theme is “How talking about money with…helped me…”  All Canadians ages 13 to 19 are eligible to participate by submitting a video, ranging in duration from 30 to 120 seconds, in which they show how talking about money with a close friend, relative, or other relationship led to their ability to achieve a financial goal.  To capture the essence of the theme, each video must end with these phrases: “Financial Understanding. It Just Adds Up.”

The videos will be assessed by a 3-judge panel selected by FCAC and criteria will include factors such as creativity, production quality and the overall messaging within the submission.  Video content winners will receive a MacBook Pro (first place), an iPad with Wi-Fi (second place), and an iPod Touch (third place).

More information about the video contest can be found here.
