Tech Tuesday: TED Supports iGrad Financial Literacy Video

by | 08/20/13 | Commentary, Uncategorized

Making financial literacy headlines today is TED, a global promoter of innovative ideas, which recently announced its support of the iGrad video tutorial tool, calling it “an exceptional lesson.”

The free video features a detailed explanation of the complicated Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process. With many Americans currently unable to afford higher schooling, a tutorial on how to apply for financial aid can be critical in improving the odds of many individuals in attending schooling.

iGrad, the developer of the online tutorial, was humbled by TED.com’s kind words. “To have a worldwide leader in forward thinking such as TED affirm our work is humbling and gratifying. We are dedicated to helping students find the best options for financing their education without hampering their future financial independence,” said iGrad Vice President Kris Alban.

In today’s world, financial education is essential – and iGrad is taking important steps in furtherance of improving the lives of those who are disadvantaged from a financial literacy standpoint. We applaud this technology enhancement in the financial literacy community.
